Research tools

Vox connects agents to the tools available in their research environment. They can inspect files, search code, run analysis, and use the results to continue an investigation.

Firmware and reverse engineering

Prepared research environments include tools for firmware extraction, binary inspection, static analysis, and decompilation. Agents can use these capabilities to inventory material, examine selected executables, and collect evidence for review.

An investigation can start broadly, then narrow to particular files, functions, or questions as the findings develop.

Your research workflow

Use tools and environments suited to the work you do. Give agents the scope of the assignment, the evidence to preserve, and the outcome you want reviewed.

This can support an existing research process: analysis results feed back into the conversation, and further checks become focused assignments.

Keep the supporting material

Agents can retain source material, research notes, and reports for later inspection. Online source research is available when permitted by the environment; private investigations can work from the material you provide.

You can inspect the evidence and ask follow-up questions instead of relying only on the final explanation.

See the research workshop example for putting these capabilities into an investigation.
